Sailor moon tea party

The truth is, I'm the only one among my friends who likes sailor moon. So instead of having a cupcake tasting party (which really made no sense) I decided to have a sailor moon tea instead. I recently started with the manga and I have a long way to go!

Firstly, I scoured the web for decorations but was kind of disappointed. I found an origami tutorial on YouTube but my origami skills suck. So I thought there should be papercraft patterns for compacts and what not.

However, I found nothing related to compacts. There are amazing (and difficult!) patterns for moon sticks, lip rods and star wands though.

The moon of the stick I made was more of a banana so it was thrown away.

I did, however, make the inner senshi star wands and they came out great! Sadly I didn't have time for the outers' lip rods (I'm biased towards the outers).

In the end, the compacts were made. I printed out various pictures of the compacts and glued them to paper compartments.

Sadly I lost the sources because I got the images all from different deviant art users.

I also drew a huge poster of Usagi and made cutouts of the other senshis. There was also a cutout of tuxedo mask.

On to the menu! Most of these were taken from sailor moon inspired recipes from YouTube. I substituted a lot though.

Sailor moon- yellow, vanilla cake with pink vanilla buttercream and star candies.
Sailor mercury- sandwiches
Sailor Mars- spicy rice
Sailor Jupiter- bento box
Sailor venus- mango smoothie
Sailor chibi moon- chocolate pudding
Sailor Uranus- salad
Sailor Neptune- Pearl cookies
Sailor Pluto- chocolate bread with mint buttercream
Sailor saturn- cherry pie

I didn't get time to make cherry pie ;;
The event itself-

It was raining and there was a lot of traffic near my house. I started playing sailor moon ost on loudspeaker. The first one to arrive was my mom's friend. Two guests arrived and the other three took quite some time. This was because they were next door and the rain was so heavy. So for a long time, the three of us were sitting under the porch in the rain and chatting. The small table had my Pluto petit chara and the tiniest porcelain tea set you could ever imagine.

I handed the guests diy sailor moon bracelets the minute they arrived.

:") It was rather funny when we were eating the bento boxes near the porch in silence. Everyone felt awkward eating an apple and sandwich from a box and we were all smiling.

:d The worst part was that my best friend couldn't make it. Nah, it was probably the fact that we forgot to have tea.

My cousin who was one of the guests stayed over. In the morning we had tea, sandwiches and a slice of cake.

A big thanks to my mom for helping me cook and bake!

If you were wondering what I was wearing, it was a sailor Pluto inspired outfit!

Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper

I'm back from my hiatus, with an old story. My best friend and I had been planning this photo shoot since forever. Ever since I was in elementary school (when the movie came out) there was lots of hype for Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper . My favorite was always Erika, mainly because in school, everyone loved Anneliese to death and there wasn't much love for Erika. So the initial plan was I would be Erika, but the friend who was supposed to Anneliese ditched the plan. I was overjoyed when my best friend Nehreen said that she wanted to do the cosplay with me. But she wanted me to be Anneliese, because she felt that a Princess would suit me better. However, I had already prepared my Erika dress, so we had to have our fingers crossed for the Erika dress to fit Nehreen. It was September 2018. I packed our costumes, accessories and makeup and headed over to Nehreen's house by car. Then she came downstairs and the three of us, including my mother, went to my aunt's hou
